To perform turns and twists, the gymnast generally begins and ends in an upright position. During turns, the wheel rotates around the gymnast. During twists, the gymnast rotates in the same direction as the wheel.

- T-D1 – Twists & turns half turn/twist without hands
- T-D2 – Twists & turns [from basic step/spin] hanging full turn/twist + hanging half twist/turn (change of arms necessary, feet must land before second arm catches the wheel (only needs to be performed once for recognition)
- T-D3a – Twists & turns leading leg/trailing arm full twist (only needs to be performed once)
- T-D3b – Twists & turns trailing leg/leading arm full twist (only needs to be performed once)
- T-D4 – Twists & turns one-armed hanging full turn from hanging basic step/spin (only needs to be performed once)
